Whenever someone asks me if I want to go for a day trip to Bratislava, the answer is always “Hell, yes!!”. That’s how I found myself for the 5th time in the Slovak capital city last Saturday. And it was absolutely amazing. Bratislava is truly beautiful and it has a lot to offer to its visitors – an impressive castle on the hill (see what I did there *lol* #iluvuEdSheeran) with spectacular view of the Old Town and the river, the Old Town itself and the food, OMG don’t let me start on the food! It deserves its own post, so I am planning to dedicate one to it.
But first, let me show you a little bit of the city itself.
3 Things To Do When In Bratislava
- Wander the streets – the Old Town is really small anyway, so just walk around and enjoy without worrying for a map or visiting any landmarks.
- Try the food – while wandering, try as much of the delicious food as you can. There are many options, so just go for it!
- Take a break on the castle’s wall and take a selfie, while enjoying the beautiful scenery.
If you live in Vienna or are planning to visit and have a day for rest, go and explore Bratislava. You will not regret it! It’s so lovely, the food is amazing and it’s great for a Sunday shopping (let’s face it, Vienna sucks on Sundays).
Have you ever been in Bratislava before? What are your favorite things to do while there?
