Explore Austria: Laxenburg

March 18, 2017 2 Comments

With the spring slowly approaching exploring seems to become more and more appealing to all of us. My next suggestion to explore Austria has to be the small market town of Laxenburg.

Laxenburg is a picturesque small town mostly known for the Laxenburg castles, which, besides Schönbrunn served as the most important summer retreat for the Hapsburg monarchs. It is one of my favorite places to visit on a sunny day for a picnic, relaxing boat ride and simply a walk in the beautiful garden of Laxenburg castle.

The many faces of Sammy

Oh my God, he is sooo cute, I cannot take it. He makes exploring so much more fun.

Laxenburg is a truly beautiful place with beautiful baroque architecture, and spectacular garden. If you are looking for a wedding location, this is one of the most amazing places to say “YES”.

Keep in mind that there is an entrance fee of 2 euro per person. It is worth every cent.

Love, Sandra
